To see and understand.
California has had a lot of rain this year, and wildflowers are still flourishing. So, luckily, I managed to capture a peregrine falcon perching by a cliff with a background of yellow flowers.

The greater roadrunner was so happy to get its prey, wagging tail like a dog. ๐
The yellow one was feeding the red one.๐

Red-whiskered bulbul was introduced into the U.S. from India decades ago.

You can usually find the white-eye in East and Southeast Asia, however, as an introduced breed, they now have a stable population in Southern California.

There has been an unusually heavy rain in Southern California recently, fortunately, the great horned owl couple still managed to hatch three owlets.
Watching them grow day by day, those adorable faces have also given me a lot of inspiration for my creations.๐

These photos were taken at different times and lighting conditions, so there is a significant difference in the tone and white balance.
It was a cloudy day, and the bird was perching on a branch far away from me, and I couldn't tell its colors and breed. It took off suddenly, and after disappearing for a few seconds, it grabbed a small snake and stood on a branch near me. I was lucky to take a picture of the little cute one, it turned out to be an American Kestrel.

Only breeding adult has the attractive white crest.
